Vitamin B12

Vitamin B12 is an essential water-soluble vitamin that plays a role in many bodily functions, including:

  • DNA production

  • red blood cells

  • nerve cells

Without vitamin B12, a person may start to feel tired and weak due to megaloblastic anemia

Vitamin B12 shots may help reduce the risk of the following conditions:

  • heart disease

  • stroke

  • neurological disorders

  • problems with thinking and memory

  • vision loss

  • infertility

Vitamin D

The body naturally produces vitamin D when it’s directly exposed to the sun hence why it is often referred to as “the sunshine vitamin”. However, our climate here in the U.K means sunshine can be sparse (even through the summer months) leading to a huge amount of people suffering from low levels of Vitamin D.

Vitamin D has long been known to help build strong bones by increasing the body's absorption of two essential nutrients - calcium and phosphorous. But it is now widely recognised that sufficient levels have a much broader range of benefits for the body. Whereas, a lack of sufficient vitamin D can result in depression, tiredness, muscle weakness, hair loss and even leading issues with our bones.
